lyrics
I get off of work and I just crawl into my bed
Staring at the ceiling, lost in thought about death
Sometimes it feels like everything is coming to an end
I wish I could escape from this existential dread
These days I’ve been feeling outside of my mind
Fear of losing time
Punishment existence standing in a line
Waiting around to die
I get off of work and then I can’t stop seeing red
Biblical destroyer, collapse my emptiness
Punishment existence keeps me crawling to the edge
The radiator hisses, ‘till nothing else is left
I remember feeling relatively fine
Part of me that died
Meteors advancing, comets in the sky
Poison on the vine
I might be blind
But it looks a lot like
No peace of mind
No end in sight
There was a time
When everything was fine
It hurts to say
I’m long gone away
Dreamy, hallucinogenic shoegaze and slowcore on this single from L.A.’s Milly, with syrupy guitars and woozy vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 28, 2019
The Canadian band present a hyper-present vision of dream pop, defined by romantic longing and surrealistic intent. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 11, 2019
Melodic post-grunge that eschews all of the negative connotations of that phrase and embraces all the positives: huge hooks, huge-r riffs. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 8, 2023

Takes me back to my high school classroom during the days of binging Inio Asano's old manga scanlations before anything was licensed. At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu
